Market Report: Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo - Sega Saturn
I bought my copy of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for Sega Saturn many years ago. I remember, even at that time how difficult it was to find a complete copy on eBay. I did not pay much for the game back then. Sega Saturn games have really increased in value in the past five years or so. However, I have followed the market for Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo pretty closely ever since. While most Saturn games have really blown up in value in that time, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo has not.
There are certainly problems with the game that impact its collectibility and value. The game was also released for PS1 and that version of the game remains very common thanks to a reprint. In addition, an updated and improved version is available for less than $10 via download. Therefore the demand for the game is relatively limited.
Nevertheless, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo for Saturn remains a very tough game to find complete in box. In fact, there are none available on eBay right now. Yes, that is right - zero copies. In 2017, a total of five CIB copies have sold on eBay for an average of about $87. The game just does not pop up on the eBay market often these days.
In short, I think this game is undervalued based on its rarity. If you can get a copy for in the $60-70 range it seems like a good buy.
